Get Permanent Residency in Canada

About Us

Thinking about immigrating to Canada?

You can go through two processes-
You can get TRV for visiting, studying, or working purposes and Permanent Residency is the process by which you can live in Canada. Express Entry is related to Permanent Residency only.
To get a Permanent Residency, you will need to go through Economic Immigration Pathway which means you will contribute to the Canadian Economy after settlement. Express Entry is basically an online Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) based process to apply for Permanent Residency in Canada. It is the fastest process made up of three federal immigration programs to move to Canada as residents in as little as six months.
If you have no criminal record and serious medical issues then you can apply for Permanent Residency through Express Entry. Now let’s move on to the three Federal Immigration Programs which make up the Express Entry System

Federal Skilled Worker Program

It’s for skilled workers with qualifications and at least one year of foreign work experience in a managerial or professional occupation. The skilled works are-
The selection factors for FSW are Age, Education, Work experience, Language skills and Adaptability. All of these factors are 100 point base to assess the eligibility and the applicants need at least 67 points to qualify for the program.

Candidates qualified for a skilled trade are eligible for this program. Securing a job offer or being certified by a Canadian provincial or federal authority is a requirement under this program, although other requirements are less in this program. For example, if you get at least CLB 5/ IELTS 5, you are eligible to apply under this program

Application
Process

Now, what will be your first step in this process?

At first, you will need to create an Express Entry Profile online. If you are eligible for any of the three programs listed above, you will have to answer some questions on core factors, spouse factors, skill transferability factors, and additional factors. You will achieve a CRS score based on your answer.
After that, your application will be entered into a pool with other applicants like you all over the world. You will be ranked against other applicants there based on your CRS score. You may be able to increase your CRS score while your application is floating around the selected pool by getting a provincial nomination or a job offer from a Canadian employer.

You will be issued an Invited to Apply (ITA) in one of the bi-monthly draws if you can rank high enough. The cutoff score depends on the number of applicants, their score, and the situation. As this pool was temporarily closed
for two years after the Covid-19 Pandemic, the cut-off reaches the peak of 547 in July 2022. Don’t worry, we
assume it will decrease over time. Cut-off usually hangs around 450, so you need to investigate all of the possible
ways to increase your score.

Applicants will need to upload copies of all supporting documents listed below

Language Test: Applicants need to show their level of proficiency in English, French, or even both. To do this, they
must take an approved language test and submit the scores to their profile. These language tests assess applicants
listening, reading, writing, and speaking abilities in that specific languages.

Educational Credential Assessment (ECA): Applicants need to verify that their foreign certificate, diploma, or
degree is valid and equal to the Canadian education system. Applicants can get their ECA report for immigration
purposes from any of the designated organizations approved by the IRCC. An ECA is not required for the
educational programs obtained in Canada.

Passport or travel document: Applicants need to verify that their foreign certificate, diploma, or
degree is valid and equal to the Canadian education system. Applicants can get their ECA report for immigration
purposes from any of the designated organizations approved by the IRCC. An ECA is not required for the

Applicants applying with their spouse or common-law partner must decide who is going to be their principal
applicant ahead of time. The vast majority of the CRS score will be counted from the principal applicant’s
credentials. Once you have these required documents and decide on a principal applicant, now you can create and
submit an Express Entry profile.

After receiving your ITA, you may need to submit an official electronic Application for Permanent Residence
(eAPR) within 90 days.

Applicants will need to scan and upload copies of all supporting documents listed below

your accompanying members.

Program, so you need to include your proof of work experience that you mentioned in your profile. All of
these documents will be reviewed by IRCC to decide the NOC code you claimed properly represents your
work experience or not. You will need to provide-

Job offers: You don’t necessarily need a job offer to immigrate to Canada through Express Entry but if you
can manage to get a job offer and claimed points for that credential then you must include a Letter of
Employment and your LMIA number, if applicable. A Canadian job offer must be a job that is-
